MISSION STATEMENT
The Empire State Mortgage Bankers Association
Today, mortgage bankers account for more than half of the residential mortgage
loan originations nationally. This is also true of New York’s mortgage bankers.
There are over 275 licensed mortgage bankers in the New York State. Organized
in 1983, the Empire State Mortgage Bankers Association (ESMBA) is the only
state-wide organization that represents the interests of those mortgage bankers.
The Association promotes public education, high ethical standards, sound
business practices, and cooperation among legislators, regulators and other
members of the industry.
ESMBA is a group of more than 100 mortgage banking businesses in New York
State, whose members handle tens of thousands of mortgage loans each year. In
addition, the mortgage lending industry employs thousands of people across the
Empire State.
Our main office is located at 800 Veterans Memorial Highway Suite 300 ,
Hauppauge, NY 11788. The Association can be reached Monday through Friday
