    About the Red Course

    The 18-hole "Red" course at the Bethpage State Park Golf Course facility in
    Farmingdale, New York features 6,756 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of
    71.  The course rating is 73 and it has a slope rating of 127 on Rye grass.  Designed
    by A.W. Tillinghast, the Red golf course opened in 1923.
